The Cantonment, Florida, community is mourning the loss of Logan Connor Edmondson, who passed away on August 10, 2026, just one day before his 23rd birthday. Born on August 11, 2003, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Logan’s life was filled with music, curiosity, creativity, family and friendships that made him deeply loved by those around him.

Logan was a 2021 graduate of J.M. Tate High School, where he was a member of the school’s renowned Showband of the South. As a tenor saxophone player, he contributed to the band’s musical performances while building friendships and memories that remained an important part of his high school years.

After graduating, Logan worked at McGuire’s Irish Pub, where he discovered a genuine passion for cooking. He particularly enjoyed preparing steaks, and his family remembered how his skills continued to improve each time he cooked. He later worked in area two distributions at Ascend and also served with the company’s fire department.

Those who knew Logan remembered him as an old soul who found happiness in simple things. He enjoyed classic country and rock music, spending time outdoors, reading, learning about history, cooking and tinkering with different things. His natural curiosity often led him to discover how things worked and find creative ways to make them work.

Beyond his interests and accomplishments, Logan was treasured most for the relationships he shared with the people around him. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. His sense of humor, personality and presence brought laughter to those around him and created memories that his loved ones will carry with them.

Logan is survived by his parents, Tim and Angie Edmondson; his sister, Lydia Edmondson; maternal grandparents Sharon and Malcolm Nelson, Larry Spinks and Sandra Jackson; paternal grandparents Bob and Kathy Edmondson; special aunt Missy “Dot” Craig; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Kevin Spinks.

Funeral and Memorial Service

Family and friends will have an opportunity to honor Logan’s life during visitation on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory – North in Cantonment. A funeral service will follow from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

His final resting place is listed as Highland/Aldersgate Church Cemetery in Molino, Florida.

Logan Connor Edmondson’s life was far too short, but the years he shared with his family, friends, classmates and colleagues were filled with experiences and memories that will not be forgotten. From playing the tenor saxophone to discovering a love for cooking, exploring the outdoors and working on the things that captured his curiosity, Logan brought his own unique spirit to everything he did.

His passing leaves an immeasurable void for his family and everyone who knew him. Those closest to Logan will continue to remember his laughter, interests, kindness and the many moments that made him special.
