According to the Chesterfield County Police Department, the collision occurred around 8:00 a.m. in the 9500 block of West Providence Road. Investigators reported that a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox traveling westbound crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a 2020 Toyota 4Runner.

Lundeen, a resident of Chesterfield, was identified as the driver of the Chevrolet Equinox. Following the crash, he was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the Toyota 4Runner was also taken to a hospital and suffered minor injuries, according to authorities.
