The Huntley, Illinois, community is mourning the tragic loss of Rosemary Bolding, 30, who died following a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in unincorporated Kinsman.

According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal collision occurred shortly before 9 a.m. at the intersection of West Gardner Road and South Johnny Run Road. Authorities reported that Bolding was traveling northbound on South Johnny Run Road when her vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign before entering the intersection.

Investigators said an eastbound vehicle traveling along West Gardner Road entered the intersection and collided with Bolding’s vehicle. The impact caused her vehicle to leave the roadway, enter the yard of a nearby residence in the 6900 block of Gardner Road, and ultimately strike the corner of the home.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but despite their efforts, Bolding was pronounced dead at approximately 9:40 a.m. She was identified as the only person killed in the crash.
