According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at approximately 9:56 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, to a residence on State Route 559 in Zanesfield after receiving a report that Saxton was missing from the property.

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies began searching the area. During the search, authorities focused on a pond located on the property and discovered Saxton in the water. Emergency personnel responded, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
