Family members and friends of Dr. John D. Hurley are being invited to gather and remember his life during a series of services scheduled for Tuesday, August 25, and Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

The arrangements provide an opportunity for relatives, friends, colleagues, and members of the community to come together, offer condolences to the family, and celebrate John’s life and legacy.

Visitation for John D. Hurley

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eastern time at McDonald Keohane Funeral Home – South, located at 809 Main Street (Route 18), South Weymouth, Massachusetts, opposite South Shore Hospital.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours and greet members of John’s family.

Celebration of Life Service

A Celebration of Life Service will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 26, at 8:00 a.m.

The service will provide an opportunity for those who knew John to reflect on his life, remember the moments they shared with him, and offer support to his loved ones.

Funeral Mass

Following the Celebration of Life Service, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 26, at Our Lady of the Angels Parish in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, located at 392 Hanover Street, Hanover, Massachusetts.

Family, friends, and members of the community are invited to join in the Mass as they honor John’s memory.

Interment

Services will conclude with interment at Washington Street Cemetery in Norwell, Massachusetts.

The burial will provide John’s family and loved ones with an opportunity for final farewell and remembrance.

Memorial Contributions

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor John’s memory may make memorial contributions in his name to a charitable organization of their choice.

The family welcomes those who wish to remember John through a charitable gift or an act of generosity reflecting the spirit of remembrance.
